SCJ Amalgamation - Family Courts 330 University Avenue, Toronto
The Family Courts are located on five floors in the Canada Life Building. The 15-story landmark boasts a lime stone exterior with granite columns, marble floors and walls, a gold leaf ceiling and a tower observation deck. The building was originally completed in 1931 and designated a Landmark Heritage Building in 1996. The project renovation included the addition of 15 courtrooms, two motion rooms, 16 judge retiring rooms, four interview rooms, office spaces, staff areas, public areas and massive file storage in the basement. Completion April 2020.
